so on the plane er flight i mean. yes on the flight. i watched well actually. on the way back, from london i watched part of a movie called american animals. it was really interesting. evan peters is in it, from american horror story. that’s actually what attracted me to the movie. it’s evidently about a ‘book heist’ i think would be the right phrasing. i didn’t get that far into it. it’s a good movie. but i like it bc. it reminds me of ‘boys don’t cry’ [which i love.]. the lower/middle class.......and the relationship between the characters. kindof i don’t know. they seemingly have such a good. brotherhood/sisterhood. humanhood. personhood i suppose. the friendship. i’d recommend it. and i do.
i watched. that guersney potato movie. lily james was in it. she was in the recent mama mia movie. and cinderella.......... pride, prejudice and zombies.......downton abbey, for those familiar. i get her flip flopped w/ lily collins all the time. the movie i’m talking about it is called ‘the guersney literary and potato pie society’. it was a drama but it was. i don’t know a quiet, drama. set in the 1940’s. i liked the music.
hm what else did i watch.......um..........that one w/ saiorse ronan where she’s a newlywed in the 1960’s............on chesil beach that’s what it was called. slow moving. i watched the seagull which she was also in. which i don’t remember too much of. and big bang of course. which she wasn’t in but i love that show. modern family, friends........i’ve forgotten what else i watched while in flight/in london. regarding tv. but eventually it’ll come to me.
oh yeah. so during our stay there. We dined in a former crypt. it’s the london hidden cafe. well not hidden now that someone’s found it. it was. a room underground w/ a few arches in the ceiling as the. i think someone had. either intentionally. curved the ceiling to look that way or. that was due to nature. my guess although i don’t know the history. is that well now i’m not sure. i think maybe it was.......yes that’s right it might’ve been a loading dock. for ships and the arches. were the. stops the ships docked at. like ok this arch is Stop 1. and the next one is Stop 2. the arches were close together. or maybe not i have no idea. and then someone turned it into a cafe an eatery. oh the floor. was made up of gravestones here and there. being in a former crypt i didn’t find that frightening at all. actually it was rather comforting. there were living people there as well as. those who’d passed on who’d been buried. there. i liked that place. and it was surprisingly warm. which i wouldn’t think it would be considering heat rises. oh wait they must heat it then. maybe no that can’t be it cause i don’t recall seeing any air vents. i think. all the bodies in there moving. you know back and forth between their tables and then paying and getting their lunch/meals. that’s why it was so warm in there.
the subways er the tube as they’re called. the tube stations weren’t as warm as they were last time i was there or even 2 yrs. ago. oh.........cause it wasn’t as crowded this time. that’s right.
so. while dining in the former crypt something interesting happened. well there was this neurotic guy [i’m not being offensive. i think he had an actual mental disorder] speaking rather rapidly in an italian accent to the police/security people. the accent was somewhat thick. right near our table. ‘us’ being my mom & i. The first thing i noticed was that a black coat had dropped to the floor and so. i thought on their way out someone had dropped their coat and not noticed. but no. i didn’t say anything about it since i don’t. well talk to people. but it’s probably a good thing i didn’t.
so the police guys stood there and just. let him talk hoping i guess. that he’d eventually tire himself out. weirdly enough i wasn’t super frightened. at the time. i was unnerved sure yeah. and aware. but i wasn’t like. panicking, or anything. yeah that’s how i was sometimes in the tube stations. london has great security btw. their security level. to me is as good as the health care in sweden. so. super good. i didn’t think the guy was dangerous but i’d rather have not stuck around to find out. ya know? so after we were done w/ lunch i quietly got up, got my coat w/o putting it on. and went to the bathrm. [my mom had to go as well.]. where, after um. finishing. i put my coat on. i felt w/ the guy/police men. that putting my coat on would only lead to distracting them/the italian guy so. therefore. i didn’t untill we’d gotten away from that situation.
The thing i don’t like, about the tube stations. is the giant elevators. and i don’t like them bc. i don’t like being able to see what’s in front of me. like not being able to see. um where the moving staircase reaches it end. which if there’s someone in front of me as there was. i’m not able to. cause if i know and can see the physical end of something is coming then i can prepare myself. and not seeing it freaks me out. also it kindof makes me dizzy. is that weird? no i’m asking. are others like this?
oh right. so firstoff i’m ok. it was my purse that got stuck not me. at times my brain doesn’t work as fast, as it should and so as a result of that my um. movements don’t. i’ve always been like this. so at the.........turnstiles that’s what they’re called. anyway at a subway turnstile well. i put my card on the thingy. in order to activate the doors that would open so that i could enter, into the tube station. well there’s the lobby part as i’m calling it. and then the doors/turnstile part. and so the doors opened but my movements weren’t fast enough. i started to move forward my purse in front of me. as always. it’s a big purse. well so the doors opened they’re waist high. and right when i realised my purse was stuck i pulled back a bit so it would be the only thing stuck. and good thing too.
after which. i touched my card to the thing and. the doors didn’t open. the gate* yes that’s the word. that’s what i meant when i said ‘the doors’. sorry for the confusion. and then at i think that point something told me to stop. so either before or after that point. i was thinking ‘don’t. panic’ and i didn’t even though, outwardly. it must’ve seemed otherwise. i asked the attendant guy ‘will you help?’. not ‘would you?’ or ‘can you?’. i didn’t even have time to think about that. just ‘will you help?’ and he did. they’re probably used to that. but i’m not. so everything worked out. but looking back it was a frightening and worrisome/troubling situation for me. thank god for big purses right? yes. right absolutely. what’s funny actually. is a few yrs. ago for my birthday. 3, 4 yrs. ago. my mom and my sister actually gave/got me, that purse. so indirectly in a way. they helped. that’s not why i wear my purse in front of me but now it is. physically i was ok. i’d liked that purse before, that happened. it’s a lesportsac for those wondering/familiar. so that was quite a scare as they say. but everything’s ok i’m ok.
