Her face and color
Alter suddenly
Her hair disarrayed
While her breasts heave
And her wild heart
Amplifies with frenzy

As I confront
This sight to see
I whisper
Let our sorrows be exiled
For a while
Rest our hate
Let love sedate

Grief and goading cares
Have torn our hearts
Our disease dwells
Fear and hunger
Have become our most bizarre counselors
Ugly poverty
A terrible sight to see

Death and trials
And all the evils
Stain our life
War
Whose fruits are death
Facing ourselves
Painting the blood
That outlines our love
