cabaret. and halloween stuff. in 2018

so in my last entry i mentioned that on the 6th. of um this month my mom i’d gone to her choir’s cabaret. thing it was so good. yeah we’re lookin at the programs before the show and my mom goes ‘these are all. showtunes’ yeah. i know. a song from pippin 2 from hairspray one from rent one from uh company. one from hamilton one from..........um...........oh damnit what was it. there was a duet between 2 guys a dramatic love song. that was interesting.
So the opening number was a song from pippin. magic to do. that was interesting all the performers of that were in a circle w/ their heads bent and then came out. of it. the ones from hairspray were good morning baltimore and i know where i’ve been love that song. the one from hamilton was dear theodosa. 2 women sang that one of them being Cailin. no not caitlin. Cailin. i like her. she has tattoos. she and her mom lived in fl at one point. i only know this cause her mom was talking about it during intermission.
the um one from rent was finale b and the one from. Company was i’m getting married today. sung by a guy. in a wedding dress. 2 ladies did a rendition of ‘music of the night’ from ‘phantom’ that was funny. oh i know what that other one was. part of your world from ‘a little mermaid’. sung by. a guy in full mermaid costume. there were others. my mom i saw that yrs. ago in its opening run. it was ok. and the woman who plays ariel [or at least she did back like. 10 yrs. ago that might’ve changed] i went to elementary school w/ her. we weren’t really friends but she was alrite. Shannon i think her name was.
the mc. well he. is now in new york he’s been there for a couple wks. he hopes to make it big. yeah so so the food was good i’d mentioned the refried beans earlier. omygod the fuking tongs. never. have giant salad tongs in w/ the chippies in a large container of chippies. holy fuk it took me like 2 or 3 or 4 times to load the chippies onto my plate. there should’ve been a spoon. turns out there was it was buried. but godamn. no. no tongs.
um right so i had chippies and salsa. and there was also lemonade although. i didn’t want any as it’s fall and it’s weird to have lemonade in fall that’s not a seasonal item or at least. it shouldn’t be. no that doesn’t work.
yeah the mc. made a speech during i know where i’ve been oh it was so good. ‘we do know where we’re going.......and we know where we’ve been’ as simple as that sounds. he meant the LGBTQ comm.
