schadenfreude in Second 1st

i did internet stuff at 9 and when I was done we went to Walmart.... I forgot masking tape for the project he wanted to do today. I helped him tape the edges of the deck where it meets the house and promised to hold a bush away. We bought some 2 bucks worth of clothesline so that I can wrap it around the large bush and hold it at a slight distance.

It’s 10:56 and i will have other work at 11.... so I’m going to that before I dedicate to helping more with the porch. Rocky is suiting up..... A large paper jumpsuit. He’s gonna be soooo hot.... but he’s gonna do one coat with a power painter thing I bought him months ago. Honestly, he should be able to get it all done in just an hour maybe?..... while he’s getting a shower after that I’m going to cook up the sausage. I’ve put all the seasonings in the bowl already.

12:02.... it wasn’t long till he decided the paper suit was too hot… he also found a way around the bush without my help. Thirdly he discovered that even though the power painter is great for the lattice work the previous owners had put up it’s going to take too long for it to be practical on the deck itself.

i have cooked up the sausage so I’m going to head back to WalMart and pick up a roller, a stick to mount it on and a pan. .... be back before 1 oclock work :). Just gonna leave this up all day and add stuff to it now and again. will post it later I think.

Got all the way to .... forgot my wallet..... managed to make in back with 2 mins to spare..... Rocky is maybe 1/3 of the way in.

3:30: I over estimated the practicality of a power painter. He is just over half done with the lattice work. I guess that’s something. The sky is a bit grey and he’s been told it’s going to rain tonight so he’s putting in as much time as he can before either it starts to rain .... or he’s done.... he said he’s doing a layer now and one the next day he gets a chance (when it’s not wet). I’m cool with that.... hey when’s lunch?.... dinner? Oh we aren’t eating till your done? that’s cool. I had some veggie chips and dip for “lunch” and I’ve eaten 2 snicker doodles .... They turned out great!.... but I really want some actual food..... sigh

Did I tell you guys I bought a test Diamond Painting. It’s all the things I wouldn’t normally do.... small, round bits, it’s a partial. I got it to test sealants on. i have not done it yet. I bought some Modge Podge at Walmart and some sponge brushes when I got the roller earlier. Thought I’d throw that one together and run test 1.... but now I can’t find the diamonds anywhere. I wonder if I threw them out.... I might have.... damn brain fog I can’t remember. :(

4:51 About to start 5pm work.... probably the last one I’ll do. Looks like Rocky still has about 45 mins to go on lattice work.... The deck shouldn’t take so long.... especially cause he won’t be using the sprayer. BTW… in case you were wondering why I’m not helping.... consider it therapeutic. I’m hungry and I have done work today… but I”m not doing that… and he’s suffering more than I am.... schadenfreude!
