every day in poetry

every day steal a single brick from out a needless wall
every day put a brick into a bridge that needs building
every day you’ve got a good shot at changing the world
every day it’ll seem like you’ve been doing nothing
every day time will lie to you like that because
every day we only see time in drips and drabs but
every day will be a little bit of progress and
every day will be a little bit closer to change
every day bust down a wall a little bit
every day build a bridge a little bit
every day might be the day you die but
every day somebody else is being born
every day adds up into years eventually
