Nice morning in At the foot of the hill

It's a beautiful morning here on the Front Range today. Sunny with a few fluffy clouds here and there. Twenty degrees heading for fifty. Why I love Colorado. It gets cold sometimes, but when that sun comes out, it's just sooooo nice.
I think after hanging out with many of you for all these years on OD (old diary) I am going to change the name of my characters. Papa will be Bob. Rusty will be Davis. Son will be Mike. DIL will be Jeri. Dusty will be Ben, etc. The kids are grown up now and I don't feel like I have to protect the identity of adults.
So: Bob has gone off this morning to his volunteer tax aid gig. He is working three or four days a week from now until April 15th at four different sites.
I didn't get certified this year. Just plain got tired of it. I'm enjoying having some time at home on my own. I even baked (!!!) and did the ironing this week. I started crocheting another afghan, went to my writing group and out to lunch on the bus with the residents of our little retirement community. Oh, yes, and grocery shopping. Picked up a couple of books from our building's library which I haven't started yet. And the wrestling meet I mentioned in my last entry. All this because my bridge clubs cancelled due to cold weather, people gone south and some illnesses.
Looking at my calendar for next week, I see bridge twice, concert at our Event Center and potluck with our Fabulous friends.
You can see I have not got time to volunteer to help people with their taxes....
