So far.... in At the foot of the hill

We have both seen the cardiologist. My appointment was like: listen to the heart, check the meds list and a conversation about my husband who had been in two days earlier. Doc wanted to be sure that Bob had told me what they talked about and if it was the whole truth. Yes, he had. Seems the “heart murmur ” is slowly getting worse. Doc wants him to have a valve replacement. Recent developments have been made where a valve replacement can now be done thru a vein in the leg, making it unnecessary to do open-heart surgery. BUT: insurance guidelines have criteria that the condition has to be at a certain point before they will pay for the new procedure. And we aren’t quite to that point yet. Doc says Bob will feel much better after he gets it done, but he (Doc) doesn’t want to open him up… so it’s a waiting game. They will re-evaluate in 3 months.
In the meantime, I’ll get my hand fixed on Tuesday and Bob will see the eye surgeon the following Monday and get appointment for the cataract removal. My dentist is reminding me that I have a crown replacement scheduled…
Other than that there’s not much going on.
