Didn’t sleep again last night. It seems that I’m stuck in that up all night (or nearly all night) one day, then collapse in exhaustion the next. I feel lousy, but I could feel a lot worse, so I’m not going to complain… much.

The Alpenhorn asked me to come in today seeing that they had turnovers to do. … … I said that yesterday, didn’t I. Anyhoo, a nice easy one client day. Tomorrow I’m off unless some kind of emergency happens at the Bull and Lion. If I see his number pop up, I may not answer it. Oy.

I start cleaning for the new clients this week. one of them, the one that lives “just up the road” was already thanking me when I went over to do an evaluation.

Y’know. A lot of people look down on housekeepers. I know some look down on me. But those same people are the ones that hire us because they “just can’t deal with it all” or they physically can’t clean. Y’all know how hard it is when you do a really good cleaning. You get tired, you hurt, you sweat and get dusty and dirty and say “omg wtf is that on my arm?! Get it off! Get it off!!”

It’s not easy. Houses like the Gross house, drunks at bed and breakfasts, yeah. that kind of shit. Literally. I mean, there’s a pile of dog crap in the middle of the floor that no one picked up. I left it there because I was coming back the next day. I wanted to see if anyone would pick it up. It’s not like they don’t walk past it a thousand times a day. Nope. it was still there.

Someone mentioned that I might not be charging enough. I do agree. I’m not charging enough but the pay rate in this area is horrible. I mean poverty level wages, unless your last name is Dierberg. Because the pay in this area is so low, I have to keep it low.

I’m probably going to raise the rate next year by a buck. I’m still cheaper than that woman that wanted 100 bucks to clean an already clean house.

I did embarrass myself a few times the past two days. I asked a couple of my clients to leave me feedback on the facebook page. This town is pretty nosy, and I’m sure this one guy follows every facebook page that comes out of this city. So whenever the nosy nellies look, they’ll see at least a few good reviews.

Diane came out to pet sit my 4 dogs and cat over night. All 4 of my dogs were immediately at ease with her, which is not typical of them at all!
We came home to happy puppies and a tidy home.

So that’s nice they did that for me. lol lol I was worried they would say “But she doesn’t do (enter task here) the right way” or something lol

I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m going to go crash.
