I'm not to sure where I left off with my last entry. Or if I really want to continue posting entries. I guess I'll just let old habits take hold.

I finished the two books. "MaddAddam" by Margaret Atwood and "War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning" by Chris Hedges. Both good books. I'd highly recommend the Atwood trilogy.

I woke up Tuesday to snow on the ground and snow falling from the sky. I stayed in my sleeping bag until it quit at 2pm. A walk to the store. I spent the rest of the day at the student union.

I slept until 2pm again on Wednesday. A walk to the store. And as soon as I sat down with my local paper over at the student union Angela showed up. She sat down on the floor next to my chair and we had a really nice two hour conversation. And my guess was right, she does have a Chinese name, Angela being her "American" name. She wrote down her real name in English- Ying Yuan and wrote it in symbol. So cool. And her last name also. After listening to me try to pronounce her name she politely suggested that I stick with "Angela". I agreed.

Thursday I was up and out by noon. Jassy was supposed to show up somewhere around "evening-ish". Angela passed by and stopped in the student union about 5:15pm. I told her there was a chance that Jassy would show up any minute. Angela stayed until almost 6pm, waiting, wanting to meet Jassy. She finally had to go so I walked her out to the bus stop.

I left the student union at 9:30pm. I went over to Hardee's and the wifi wasn't working. I went across the street to Burger King and got online and found a email from Jassy. They were over at Hardee's. I walked back over there.

Jassy asked me about opendiary and when it was to shut down. I told her it would be at 11pm our time. She was bummed because she still had the last year and a half of Carly's diary to read. I told her she had the link to Carly's wordpress and she had done a lot of cross-posting.

We sat and visited until nearly midnight. They had rented a motel room for the night here in the city so after much hug she was gone.

This morning Jassy woke me up at 9am. It was 10 degrees in the van. I got up and got dressed and packed a bag to go. She took me back over to the motel. I had until checkout at 11am to use the shower.

As we said in Texas when the mood struck- WHOOOOOO DOGGIES!!!!!!

First shower I've had in one year and two weeks. January 21st, 2013.

There was actually a pretty good sized bathtub so I really wished I could've soaked for a couple of hours, or more. But still, the water was hot, the water pressure sucked, but it was great!

I shaved, trimmed some mustache and beard, put on all clean clothes and watched Jassy freak out about how my beard is not only getting long but actually getting rather bushy.

And then after we packed up Jassy took us to George's for coffee and grub and conversation.

One topic was the motel itself. Jassy had rented the room online. It was an Indian owned Super 8. And they were the only guests in that great big motel last night. We kinda felt sorry for the owners. There were two other big chain hotels right next door to them. And Clayton said that after Jassy had paid for the room online- $64 for the three of them, that he noticed that it was the lowest rated Super 8 in the city. So sad.

After our brunch . . .

Wait a minute, they just showed up!

Okay. After our brunch I was dropped off at the van. I gathered up all my dirty clothes and walked across the parking lot to the laundromat. One load. Everything is clean once again.

They were going to do some running around the city and then go to a friends concert downtown tonight.

So yeah. they just stopped by after the concert and we visited for a bit. I had Jassy call her Grandma and we both talked to her for a bit. My brothers oldest daughter just had her first baby. A baby boy. Since it was my brother who'd called with the news, Mom didn't even have a name or any other details.

Mom said she was still having problems with her legs after that little incident about a month ago. I'll be the one going out to stay with her as soon as she decides she may need a little help. I'm not doing anything here so I'd be able to stay as long as I'm needed.
