Things are spiraling out of control in General Mental Anesthesia

Not that I ever had control.

When you have a cough, what do you do? A home remedy, go to the Dr., take some meds and get better.

That ain’t the case here!

Due to complications at home regarding my sister’s husband in the military, we were forced to move. During which time I got violently ill.

I was also forced to get a couple of movers to help since neither my mother nor I can do any of that labor. They were supposed to be at the house the other day at 11am, but that didn’t happen; then 3pm… nope. They arrived around 7:30pm. Then a 2 hour move became a 4 hour move…

The coughing is not stopping; it was hot and muggy outside, at the storage unit, I decide to help the movers (which I knew I was in no condition to do) but things kept getting delayed and my mom had paid for an airbnb all the way in Virginia from where we were in North Carolina. “Why?”

Because she’s trying to get a rental property, but “if” she gets approved, it’s not available until Aug 4th which means that we’d be homeless in between now and then. The problem is that no places were available for that length of time that also accepts a pet. If she did 1 night here, 2 nights there etc… it would have been more expensive. The one in Virginia was the closest.

So, I was trying to help and in doing so, my body suddenly shut down. I was sopping wet with sweat, I couldn’t breathe, my chest was hurting and I was bent over in agony.

It got so bad that I dropped to my knees, moments later I was face down on the street. Coughing, wheezing, unable to breathe. I was crying out in pain, dry heaving, convulsing, screaming at times, I was now hacking up phlegm; my mom showed up and she called 911.

For a visual reference, I must have looked like Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi when the Emperor was electrocuting him. Luke was on his side, writhing in pain saying: “Father… please....!”

I’ve got cuts and bruises all over my body from writhing around in the storage unit parking lot. Nothing major, just small stuff.

My heart rate was 167bpm and my body was going into shock. I don’t recall much else.

The ambulance took me to the hospital where I spent the next 13 hours. Diagnosed with heat exhaustion, anxiety attack, asthma attack and severe allergy attack.

My potassium levels were dangerously low and I was given another nebulizer breathing treatment, this time with lidociane, but none of these seem to do anything that lasts long than an hour.

I’m unrecognizable being so sick.

Now I’m here in Virginia. The cough is even worse, I’m coughing up phlegm, heart/chest pain is excruciating! I’ve thrown up twice. I haven’t been this sick since the last time I had bronchial pneumonia. Do I have that now? Do I go to a hospital here in Virginia (without insurance). How poorly will I be treated here I wonder???

The coughing is making the colitis worse in that coughing while getting sick 12x/day is not only unbelievably painful, but disruptive in ways you can’t imagine.

I can’t even begin to define how severe my back pain is every time I cough. Just non-stop tears, this is so unlike me!!!

Why can no one fix or diagnose me properly???

I’m suffering so much!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, words can’t describe it.

There are spouts of 10 to 15 minute intervals when I literally am coughing every second and can’t stop… tears streaming down my face. (minutes, not seconds).

It’s slightly better if I stand and don’t talk, but sitting or laying down… fucking hell, it’s absolutely non-stop!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I’ll just be standing in this airbnb room all night trying not to fall over because I’m so freaking exhausted.

The airbnb host is obviously unhappy with my health, I would be too. I can’t hide or mask it. I don’t know what to do. I hope we don’t get kicked out into the street. :,(

(Due to the coughing and everything else, this entry took nearly 6 hours to write).

I really need some help
