Celebration of life in 2018

So the funeral was exactly that. Which made me very happy. The priest knew her well so he was able to speak about her personally which was awesome. My aunt wrote a eulogy and got a lot of input from the family. It was beautiful and I smiled almost the whole time.

I realize funerals are sad and don’t get me wrong, it was sad, but I couldn’t help but think about how wonderful and long and happy her life was. I couldn’t help but smile at all the people in their Christmas sweaters to celebrate. I couldn’t help but think man, she would have loved this so much. If anything I had tears of joy. She would have loved this!

At the end, the choir sang silent night. While she was dying in the hospital, my mom played her a Christmas playlist, she passed while silent night was playing.
