Sooooo I went to my dentist appointment and bought the expensive toothbrush because she seems to think that my teeth are gonna all come crashing to the ground if I don’t use it for four minutes, twice a day. I must be reasonable, and keep in mind that eight minutes of my day is noways near being “all my time,” and just do it. Frankly, I think she’s slightly loopy and also likes to make money, but I reckon it’s true that using this, and rinsing with antiseptic rinse twice a day too, is a healthy practice for my teeth and gums.
Today is gonna be HAWT AND MUGGY. It’s already muggy! But my sisters and I are going adventuring today, and I’m sure we will have a good time anyway. We’re going down to Lewes, a historic beach town on Delaware Bay, where the oldest Swedish settlement was. Actually I’m not sure if that should be Swedish or Swiss!!!!! Those are definitely not the same!! I need to look it up....HA! I just did, and it’s Dutch! I have no idea how my brain turned that into Swedish or Swiss! Anyway, it is a gorgeous town, with so many unusual old house and beautiful flower gardens. I will take my camera. :o)
Yesterday was so nice and cool. In the morning, I drove out to the high school and walked on the track. I was planning on only walking a mile (four times around the track), but I ended up walking two miles because I met a woman who was fun to walk with and talk with.
Though Joe is back to work now, he gets Fridays off all summer, so he has some running-around he needs to do tomorrow, including going to the Social Security office in Dover to find out some stuff he needs to know before he puts in for retirement this coming spring. So I’m going to get together with Wendy. And so far that is all we have planned for the weekend!
In my first entry I wrote (after being gone for months), I wrote about practically “everyone” we know taking trips to Iceland, and me being a bit jealous. Well, I’m over the jealousy part! They are posting photos on FB, and so far a lot of it seems either very drab or potentially dangerous!! I am glad I get to hear and learn about it, though. But if we ever travel overseas again, Iceland won’t be my choice!
