Youngest granddaughter Zoe. May 2018. Photo: Joseph.
Yesterday’s search for a good photograph of Carol and Robert disheartened me. Every folder I looked in had wonderful pictures of friends, but they weren’t with us anymore. After quite a long search, I found the image I used. That will teach me not to forget to take photos. This morning, I was determined to post something cheerful, some happy personality.
This granddaughter’s images fill folder after folder with happy images. Her mother Margot sends me almost one a day. Her friend, and Zoe’s friend Joseph, sends even more. They are always happy, joyous, and filled with marvelous freedom. She dances, she fills the air with good cheer, and she delights.
I know my legions of dead friends did that too long ago. Many friends now dance too…but in the pool. I was welcomed back to aerobics with great enthusiasm by everyone this morning. I was truly surprised by the welcome tho I didn’t stay long. I came home knowing what person would hearten me with their enthusiasm…the youngest granddaughter, Zoe.
