New job, old boss wont be happy in Misadventures of West Virginia Woman

I went to Rescare for a job interview. They told me they don’t do drug tests. I was surprised by that. I barely walked through the door was hired instantly. I was offered $9.75 an hour if I chose no benefits. I took benefits so I am being paid minimum wage which is $8.75 an hour. They reimburse me on my mileage. I haven’t got to read the benefits package yet.

I start the new job on Friday. My old boss Little John will not be happy. Considering I was going to be laid off on June 6th for the summer this new job came at a good time. Sorry Little John I got to keep earning that paycheck!

I hope I did the right thing. Talan is going for a job interview for Tudors biscuit world tomorrow. I hope he gets it! We both decided get new jobs because driving 45 minutes to Princeton was ridiculous. I get paid less with this new company but my vehicle will thank me in the end.

I am trying to decide whether I will work until Thursday before I start my new job Friday or I will just call and quit. I don’t want to burn a bridge with this company but God knows I am glad to have a job closer to home.
