Still working my way through The Boss series. What an utter pile of shit. Finished The Bride and I cannot figure out the title in the least. There were three “brides” in the entire book and their weddings were basically mentioned in passing, a vague description on the dresses and none of them were the main character? How are these titles picked?

Sophie is utterly the most annoying character I have ever encountered in an actual book. Fifty Shades does not count as an actual book because it originated as Twilight fan fiction. And also because it makes me nearly vomit remembering I read that burning pile of putrid ass flakes.

I thought Kylie from the NYPD Red series was the most annoying character, seriously every book I root for her death. But then came along Sophie. I truly loathe her. I would be rooting for her death if this were a mystery series.

And I know I have complained about it before, but is there a specific amount of sexual situations one needs per book to make it “erotica”? And can these writers not leave anything to the imagination? I am not a prude, but there have been full length pornos with less sex than three chapters of these books. Especially for a 49 year old man recovering from a year of intense chemo and stem cell transplant. I cannot even fathom how Sophie’s clit has not been rubbed right off her body.

The NAMES! Oh my god, the names are the worst too. There is a receptionist named Ivanka. For Fucks Sake. India, Deja, Emma (thank’s Monica for suggesting that name to Rachel and for the entire universe to overfuckinguse it.).

So Sophie’s last name…Scaife. Yeah, if you google that there was an American BILLIONAIRE last name Scaife. My brain officially hurts. Not just from this fucktaster of a book/series, but just from the day in general.

This book could have been titled The Fiance since that is about all that happened. They didn’t even set a date for their wedding. The next should be interesting…The Ex. Hers? His? Some rando bum from the subway? It’s anyone’s guess how the title plays into this series.
