Causeacon faked fun for him in Misadventures of West Virginia Woman

I didn’t go on a Zombie Run! this weekend to exercise like I usually do. Saturday instead Talan and I went to Causeacon. I took pictures of cosplayers in their costumes. Followed Talan and his friends Dovana and her boyfriend the Red Ranger I am embarrassed to say I don’t remember his name.

Talan and his friends were cooing all excited at the costumes, comic books and anime. I didn’t recognize 90% of all the stuff around me. Talan kept asking me if I was having fun. Honestly I was not! I went for him to have fun. I often call it taking one for the team. I use time wasted like Causeacon for favors for things I want to do that I know he will not enjoy later.

He got excited wanted pictures in front of the tardis because he is a Dr Who fan. I took a few he smiled with joy. That smile and happiness is why I came honestly. I want him happy even though I wasn’t as amused as he was.

I did found some things I enjoyed. I had an artist drew my caricature. This man was dressed like the Joker stayed in character the whole time. I found him amusing. He was a larger man who wore the cutest pants with joker on them. Teagan a girl I know through other friends looks exactly like Harley Quinn in costume jokes with the Joker artist while I was drawn. I enjoyed the experience. Teagan is a good spirit.

There is a group called Samarai Warrior. They had practice weapons people could compete with in competition. My favorite fight was a man dressed like Deadpool in a tutu and a five year old child. He was trying to avoid her swings while she giggled in joy. Everyone cooed how cute she was. She was very persistent chasing him around the pin giggling. Deadpool let her win. She must have some practice sword fighting because you can tell she is experienced. I wish I recorded it.

Talan my fiance won a round 1 fighting. Lost the second round. He accidentally broke a practice knife because it got caught in his hood. He bought the practice knife he broke. I did record his first fight. He really enjoyed himself. He used to do mix martial arts as a child. I wish we could join that group I think it would be good exercise. Talan and I have been trying find a way to lose weight. Samurai Warrior might be it. I am going look up their classes.

In the videogame room I won some candy out of the claw machine. Talan was surprised I won I was too. Talan wasn’t interested in playing games because they were atari, Nintendo and play station 2 games old school consoles. I saw dance dance revolution in there. He doesn’t realize I like old school games. Newer videogame consoles are to complicated for my liking. I don’t play modern games I am impatient they take to long.

I enjoyed shopping there Talan bought me a ring before I made it home stones fell out. I felt defeated but I thought..what do I expect? I think I will buy a better ring elsewhere.

I don’t know if I will go to the Causeacon next year. I kind of wish we went to the Flea market instead. Will I lie and say I had fun? Of course! It matters to him so I tolerate it. I take one for the team so he owes me later.

Will I waste time at Causeacon today for him? Yes I will. I will fake happiness so he can enjoy it.
