i don’t usually blog at 11:30 a.m. but here we are. um.
so this is from the 8th:

‘to clarify. actually sleep is kindof a weird thing. not like going to sleep but what happens to the body once we are. and also. um. when we’re sleeping we have sleep paralysis anyway it’s just we’re usually not aware of it.

no but. i don’t remember which day it was. but ever since. w/e day it was that it happened i’ve had this feeling that. yeah it’s happened. like so that was a bit weird.’

and:

‘’m a researcher. well um not. not professionally no i mean in general. er rather. it’s another part of me.

um. right as put. i was reading up on sleep paralysis a bit. and here’s what i remember although not vividly. evidently according to my vague memory of this. i must’ve woken up for a few seconds - a few mins. been in sleep paralysis for a bit and then. well gone back to sleep. it doesn’t last long and it’s not harmful though it is kindof scary. from what i recall during my lifetime i’ve never had it prior to. this time.

oh so ‘the underlying function’ pertains to an REM sleep dysfunction. and it’s a sign that the body isn’t fluidly moving through the stages of sleep. oh and when it happens upon waking it’s called ‘hyponpompic’ or ‘postdormital’. [‘post’ being after and ‘dorm’ having to do w/ well. sleep.].

oh it can be caused by sub. ab........that.

so as i’ve mentioned. when people are asleep their body/muscles well. calm down. oh..........wait. so. one of the things i’ve read about recovering from a TBI is to rest. oh well that makes sense.

the anterior hypothalamus controls sleep. and that is. by the brain stem and slightly forward. oh......... ‘
