so. and i don’t think i’ve mentioned this a lot if ever. a few yrs. ago when i was 24 maybe 23 i was downtown. and i saw this woman holding a yellow piece of paper that had the word ‘abuse’ on it and a small story. and i couldn’t not. go up and talk to her so i went up and talked to her don’t exactly remember what i said. her eyes were big. and green. and she was worried bc she told me something about ‘i have papers’. i guess, court papers or something regarding her abuse. and she was all about to pull them out and i’m ‘no it’s ok i believe you’. cause i did. and she mentioned something about. that she was going to a shelter where there are beds. i think and knowing me i probably would’ve i wished her good luck.

she was strong. ok so not just physically but in other ways. and bruised but not. in an obvious sortof way.

i haven’t seen her since but i’ve always remembered her.

i call her. ‘Mockingbird Woman’ cause of that quote: you can kll all the blue jays you want but it’s a sin to kll a mockingbird.

i hope she’s doing ok. and i hope she remembers me and our conversation. i like to think she does.
