Yes, a fourth entry today. This will be super fast in part because I am writing it from my phone.

I love my father. He is a product of his environment and upbringing. Just like I am. But that makes some things… unfortunate.

Problem One: When I was a boy scout, I had a large trunk for camping. Last week, Dad asked Wife and I if we wanted it. Wife instantly said that we didn’t have space and would not take it. This weekend, Dad said “Stop being a victim. Your wife doesn’t control you! (Long Pause) You’re taking the trunk.”

Problem Two: I do not have a job right now. This somehow makes my Dad think I am not “doing enough to support my family.” So he keeps trying to force me into meetings with people (who have business connections, not law connections) and lecturing me about a good attitude for job hunting. I have been out of work for exactly 1 week. And in that time, I have applied to a job. Which means my Two Months of recuperation has already had active job searching but my Dad is still freaking out. Yes, the same Father who spent 40 years bitching about how much he hated his job and said how doing it was a mistake. So… That is a thing I’m dealing with.

Problem Three: Politics. My dad is an old Conservative Christian die-hard. So while he is able to say clearly that the GOP is not acting “godly” or “ethically”… he still KEEPS SAYING “Better than Hillary.” Which is such ridiculous bullshit. Especially from a man who needed me to tell him who the following people were:
Scott Pruitt
Jeff Bezos
Betsy Devoss; and
Ben Carson.

Are you kidding Me? You continue to support this administration because it is “Better than Hillary” but you don’t know cabinet members or current international or domestic affairs?! God damnit! Another ignorant party line voting Iowan… seriously, that bugs me when EITHER GOP or DMV. Know the issues, man, damn!

Problem Four: He is becoming more and more deaf. He is only 65 but his hearing is abysmal. Everything has to be shouted which adds tension especially since there are only two of us.
