I’d like to be
right in-between
asleep and awake
Is it too hard to take?

It’s the only place
where I can feel safe
when I see your face
which my mind refuses
to erase.

They may think I’m crazy
Just like you,
I’d like to be
all about honesty

I want us to be
part of this reality
but for now,
I’ll just have to settle
between asleep and awake
where love is all that we make…
