Listening: Apples and Bananas.... the kinds of songs I’m pretty sure that play over and over in your head whilst you slowly go insane.
Feeling: Like this isn’t just allergies.
Thinking: Yay it should be nice this weekend!

I was all hyped up to write two days in a row. I got everything open and ready to go and just… melted my brain. Little Miss is sitting in a chair right now watching kids songs/videos on the TV with her cold. She is cutting her final molars (what a delay between ALL her other teeth and these ones), so I thought that was the cause of her runny nose but it appears as though she is just straight up ill. Last weekend I was outside scrubbing the deck (by hand… bleh) so she had to ‘help’ of course. I think she caught a chill then. C’est la vie. There was no way I could have prevented her from getting wet; you just can’t keep kids from getting into water.

So I’m just desperately trying to not catch it. My immune system is pretty good but she is a literal clingy germ right now so I don’t think I have good odds.

I’m so very happy that I was able to get everything for Easter ready a week or so ago. What I failed to do was get everything ready for my moms birthday, and that’s tomorrow. Fail. Now that today is a holiday, I’m not sure what is open so I can get that finished.

I was very disappointed at work yesterday. I worked so hard on Wednesday to get an important company expansion proposal done for the conference call on Thursday. I made sure that I had all my points covered, I discussed them with Buzz and Harpy ahead of time to make sure they were aware of my concerns. Then the conference call happened and the corporation that we essentially work for didn’t care one bit about what we had to say and just told us what we’re going to be doing. None of it makes sense, and it’s not going to help us one bit.

I suppose that’s how it works with corporations. I’m just very disappointed. I put a lot of work into it, and it turns out to just have been a big waste of my time. I’ll just take the silver lining for what it is, for once it wasn’t Buzz that pissed me off. Hooray?
