No rest for the wicked in Curmudgeonly Progressive

I am sickened, but not shocked by the George Zimmerman verdict. It almost seemed as if the prosecution threw the case. As I listened to closing arguments, I wondered just whose side the prosecution was on. A finding of not guilty is not, however, a finding of innocence and Zimmerman will be haunted by what happened the rest of his miserable fat fuck of a life. There really is no rest for the wicked. You do shitty things, life will punish you.

I'm doing a news blackout today and maybe even longer. Watching the media hype over this case and the way they try to inflame the public for ratings is sickening. There is absolutely nothing I can do about the verdict. What's done is done. But I did sign the NAACP petition for the Department of Justice to bring a civil rights action:

That website is taking a long time to load because of the traffic to it. Even if nothing comes of it, the fact that so many people sign has to bring some sort of comfort to the Martin family.
