Mindblank in Stuff

There’s a new system at work this week. It’s meant to make things easier but ergh. I guess it’s still early. The RF units still drag way longer than they should and ordering tickets is a bit of a nightmare but it was only my first day using it. Maybe things will get better as I learn tricks and shortcuts, hopefully.
I stayed back a half hour after signing off (I remembered it now!) to try and figure out how to print tickets. For some reason it wouldn’t print the normal special tickets but it would print the bigger ones. So now there’s weird big tickets all over the store lol. Oh well. I’ll figure it out.

But we now have to sign in using our employee number. That’s the number we sign on with at the start and end of each shift. There was a point today where the gun signed me out and I went to sign-in again, but I had a complete mind blank. What the fuck was my employee number? I tried about 3 different combinations of what I thought it was, to no avail.
It freaked me out! Is my memory abondoning me? Already? How would I sign off my shift? Lol! I’d signed on remembering it.
I had to go into my employee page on my phone to find out what it was, since the cookies remember it for me.
I looked at it and felt stupid. Of course that was it. So fucking weird. What was with the mindblank??
