12) A song from your preteen years. in other first

In my preteens I was all about R&B. I had to look up what was on the billboard charts at the time for this one because I wasn’t sure if I was “preteens then” lol. Feeling a bit old just this moment. Man that time was filled with some great stuff. Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson, Micheal Bolton, Aerosmith… I guess I’ll go with this:

I don’t recall a Paula Abdul song I don’t like.... had to find one the clearly fell in my preteens. When I was 12 my cousin and I made up a dance to Straight Up to perform in our front yard. My sister and one our other cousins had decided they were going to do it too.... but being 2 years junior they lost interest before finishing and had left my CD player out in the rain as a result :(. I had worked hard for that, it got replaced “by Santa” that Christmas thankfully.
