Nails.... so a female co-worker who recently had a baby mentioned to me a company that does direct sales she is thinking of signing up with. She went on about the amazing product and honestly from what she had said about it I was nearly hooked.... that was 2 weeks ago.

She asked me if I go get my nails done. I don’t. I’m hardly “girly” I’ve gotten them done like 4 times in my life. They were nice each time but after.... so I kinda went through a list in my head as she talked about all the reasons I don’t get my nails done:
1) durability- i have worked in factories for for most (?) of my adult working years. Having pretty nails is not something that last too long.

2) expensive-I really am not about to go spend $40 just to have something that isn’t going to last that long and won’t even look good after the first weekend I wear it to work.

3) damage - getting acrylics means having someone “buff” my nails and they tend to want to take the whole thing off. I end up with some ugly unhealthy looking nails when all is removed.

It is sad that my hands look plain.....

I got so excited. I looked up the company and the product and called a representative and talked to her about selling the stuff .... then I read the terms and I was deflated. You can’t sell it in yard sales, on classified apps or craigslist, you can’t set up at a flea market or festival, can’t rent a kiosk at the mall. Seriously you are your only advertisement and you really can only have parties.... and I can’t use the friends I have like that, and ask them to use their friends to make myself a 25% profit.

On the other side of that coin though is the girl at work who told me about it. She bought a starter kit and received it Friday. Gave away a ton of samples and even the maintenance guys asked for info to give their SOs. Sunday she brought in 2 full sets and sold them cash and carry before lunch. ....

I bought 4 set (buy 3 get one free) Saturday night. I was sold before she got her starter kit. I have samples and haven’t put them on because I don’t understand “accent” nails at all. I don’t have any plain nail polish that matches and don’t want to waste the money to go find some. I’d much rather wait on my full sets and put those on and see how long they wear. Let me know if you are interested and I”ll post pics here (somehow I’ll figure it out again) when I get them.
