“5 PLAIN REASONS SOME PEOPLE AREN’T EVEN WORTH ARGUING WITH” in "MY ROOM OF THOUGHTS"

Surely, this is nothing new. We live in a world where people come from different backgrounds, whether cultural, racial…you name it. With them, come people with different opinions and points of view.

Let’s just face it; there will always be potential clashes. There are things worth fighting for. There are other times when you just need to choose your battles wisely. This does not make you a coward nor a quitter. The thing is, there are five (5) plain reasons some people are not even worth arguing with:

  1. They believe they are always right and you are just too stupid, stubborn, and ignorant to see that.

Well, this is obviously a dead-end sign. You may scream at their faces with facts and other relevant data you have compiled so religiously…and they just refuse to budge. They will probably look down on you anyway.

  1. When criticised (kindly or else, which actually makes no difference at all), they always play the victim.

“Oh, what did I do wrong? Why did you attack me?” they wail when you criticise them. Even worse, they always try to portray you as ‘the bad guy’ to as many people as possible.

  1. They get defensive by attacking you personally and trying to find faults in you.

Instead of being introspective with themselves first, they get all defensive. Once they run out of arguments (or have no idea how to argue like objective, sensible, and fair – like all mature adults should), they attack you personally…and oftentimes with irrelevant insults.

  1. They hide behind their loyal, die-hard fans.

Sadly, they are not alone. They have their followers, fans and wannabe-clones (or clowns?) It is not that hard to see. Their die-hard fans will stand bravely on the front line, defending their “flawless idol”. They do not even feel the need to stop for a while and really think:

Is the person they worship even worth defending at all?

  1. They always have their reasons and want to have the last word.

Their statements (especially on social media) might be offensive, especially to you. Well, guess what? They do not care. They always have reasons to do so, whether to just “sell something” or spread their ideology.

The more you argue with them, the more they go against you. They want their last word to just shut you up, even if you disagree with them.

As long as they get to sell something and make people believe in them, who cares about what you think? Who cares that they have offended you or people you may know? That is how people like them make more money. Screw ethics. Just bring other parties down.

Honestly-speaking, some people choose to remain ignorant. You cannot change their minds by calling them names. All you can do is just stay as far away as possible from them. Let the real brains figure out how much of a completely pathetic “sell-out” they are.

Perhaps, that is just the only way they know how to get attention. Poorly, but that is just as far as they can get.
