We were supposed to return from Winter Break on January 3rd for teachers and January 4th for students…teachers went on the 3rd…then it snowed. We were out 4-5 and 8-9 and went back for the 10th and 11th. My daughter had a stomach virus on the 12th so I missed that day, but school was open. We had MLK day on the 15th. We went the 16th and then it snowed…we’ve been out the 17th and today (18th). We expect to be out tomorrow based on current road conditions and temperature. Some snow may melt today but then it will refreeze tonight.
I have a 1/2 day on Monday because of a doctor’s appointment. I cannot reschedule it because he books 1-2 months ahead.

Snow is currently falling off my roof and making the dog go insane. Of course it’s ruining nap-time for my child.
Nothing of excitement over here lately. We’ve been inside forever and don’t seem to be leaving anytime soon. I may have ruined my favorite work boots by dropping chicken grease on them…meaning I may go shopping Saturday or Sunday. I really didn’t want to go find new boots because those have been with me about 10yrs and I adore them (my husband hates them). Having a permanent leg injury means very few shoes/boots feel comfortable for all day use, and I am going to have trouble replacing these. I cannot just buy the same ones or anything.
I decided I am going to by myself a Boston Terrier Puppy later this spring. My husband thinks it’s not happening…he has another thing coming. I’m already on a wait list for the puppy. I decided I need a new puppy and I’m getting one that I want. He can suck it up. I do everything pet care related and 90% of the house work.
