"cooking" in Weight Watchers Program sharing

Since I live alone, i don't spend a lot of time making complex dishes for myself. I do like to use a few simple ingredients, then depend on "flavor principles" to make the food taste like the ethnic foods I like.

Yesterday afternoon, I made two separate dishes. I started with canned diced tomatoes and canned chick peas. For one half, I added various herbs - oregano, basil - and feta cheese. This gave it a Mediterranean flavor. For the other half, I added a LOT of cinnamon - giving the food a Moroccan flavor.

The part with feta cheese, I had over brown rice. Lately, I've begun "plating" my food, so that instead of eating the entire LARGE bowl of food, I have a smaller portion and find that I am full with that. In that way, what used to be one large meal, becomes two medium sized meals.

The other part - the one with cinnamon - I'll have over whole wheat cous-cous.

Since I live in NYC, I can go to restaurants with cuisine from practically any country in the world. But, sometimes, it's nice to be able to make it myself.
