Before we drove on into Georgia, we stopped in Nashville to see Justin and Destiny for a night, and when we got there, this was waiting for us.
And because Rachel and Nestor are on the Georgia/Tennessee border, and we were gonna pass by them anyway, we stopped and had some lunch with them at a park.
While we were living in the hotel, it was a requirement we went out and explored with the kids otherwise we get all stir crazy, we loved this section of bridge that crossed over the river.
We also discovered walking trails that went on forever through Forest like areas and fell in love. This one is our favorite.
Salem's first day of school.
And at her birthday brunch.
This is what Ian wanted to do on his birthday, watch Toy Story with his friends.
And here he is opening his birthday present from his sister.
Salem's school needed a new track, so the kids ran to raise money. I went and cheered her on. She ran all of her 25 laps without stopping. I was so proud of her I cried!
The ducks in our apartment complex have been gone for awhile, but when they were here the kids like feeding them.
Believe it or not, this is a teeter totter. It's on the play ground at church and Ian just really loves it.
Ian got a new bed from my dad and step mom for his birthday. This was after we finally got his room all set up. Can you guess the theme?
Scott's company had their annual party at Six Flags over Georgia. It was a nice free experience for us.
We took the kids to a farm for our pumpkin patch experience this year. It was completely new, beautiful, and so much fun!
Our first morning of below freezing temps, and we had no winter coats yet. I had to improvise with getting Salem dressed for school.
Here are some candid fun shots of the kids on Halloween.
On my 30th Birthday.
Ian trying to steal pumpkins from the playground at church.
She learned this past season that she likes Peppermint Mochas. Don't worry, it's decaf.
Did I mention that I absolutely love Fall here?
Adventures with Ian.
They are finally turning into real friends.
I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but Scott bought tickets for me and Salem to go see Paramore. My baby girl got to see her hero, and her first concert, and it was just me and her. It was the best night!!!
Christmas Eve in their matching pajamas.
Everyone made fun of me, but I had no idea that this would really happen when the temps dropped. I was amazed by it.
Salem with her best friend Julia-Kate at church. They love each other and have the same birthday. I love her mom so it works out well.
The kids playing in our first snow.
This is the view from our front window in our apartment. Its such a pretty view, but it was much prettier covered in snow!
