Another dual entry if that’s ok with everyone.
Let’s have some fun with my misery, I say this because (as painful as it was) I actually laughed out loud at some of these!
Now we’ve all seen commercials and have taken medications and know of their side effects (or some).
I’m on some very dangerous medications and some long term (that should only be taken in short term doses (Prednisone) but I’m not even going to get into that.
I just recently spent yet another night / day in the hospital and was given Naproxen for an aggravated back injury because my previous meds were ineffective all of a sudden. Hell, the morphine they gave me was like a sugar pill. Even the Lidocaine patch just felt like a sticker… There’s medicine on that thing? Really? For more info see previous entry.
So, as I’m new to this medicine, but as someone whom suffers with side-effects frequently, I had to do some research.
To sum up my health (if you haven’t been following me: I’m currently dealing with a very aggressive and severe form (and flare) of ulcerative colitis… (internal bleeding, ulcers, diarrhea, severe cramping, nausea, vomiting, severe fatigue, body weakness, sore joints, inflammation of the eyes, skin and joints, excruciating abdominal pain, anemia, going to the bathroom several times a day 7x - 12x more… etc… (My everyday life outside of remission)).
The medications used to treat it don’t work on me, Prednisone is the only thing keeping me alive and it’s killing me! I’m suffering with a great many side-effects of this medication!
My back injuries: L4, L5, L5 S1 herniated discs (S1 currently pinching sciatic nerve) T9 herniated disc, another compressed disc (I forget, either just above or just below it) Spinal stenosis and damage to my C1 & Atlas Vertebra.
There’s more, but let’s stop here and focus on the drug Naproxen which I have to take twice daily. I’m putting in BOLD some of the more interesting ones and/or one’s I need to pay specific attention to).

Here’s my favorite… (exacerbation of inflammatory bowel disease (COLITIS)
How in the hell am I supposed to know if this medication is working???
In the past year, I’ve lost my home, my car and was forced to sell off nearly everything I own because of the severity of my ulcerative colitis. To the point that my friend started a gofundme campaign on my behalf because she knew I would never do it for myself and she lost her mom to this disease. WWW.GOFUNDME.COM/JAYEERYK
Yet here I am forced to take these medications with (literally) ridiculous and absurd side effects. Many of which, I’m already suffering with because of the injuries this med is supposed to be treating and the colitis. It’s a Twilight Zone episode is what it is!!!
**No pulse? No breathing? No blood pressure? Really?

OctoPhoMo: Day 10
Moonlit or Vanish
Going with MOONLIT
A couple pics of the moon.
The Harvest Moon
The moon lit up just enough of this decrepit old house reclaimed by nature to get a pic.
A still from a scene of my Edgar Allan Poe short film. Scene was moonlight, but we used a white board to direct the light where we needed it, no other lights were used. (I posted about that experience recently, so if you’d like to go watch that video and read about (see more pics) just go back a few entries). :)
