Skies outside Las Vegas, 2008.

Why? We will never know.

Like the 9/11 terrorist attacks, there will be radical groups claiming responsibility. The airways will be filled with talking heads, pundits, and Tweets from our president. Everyone will cry foul. Several folks I read regularly will have something important to say.

The BBC has excellent but horrifying coverage.
Or try the New York Times. “There was nowhere to go,” said one person who attended the concert.

One writer I know said: “Australians are people who enjoy their personal liberty as much as we do, and celebrate in individual choice. However, they were able to see the sense in passing universal gun control (at both the federal and state level), which has reduced the number of gun deaths by over 50% over the years.”

Gun stocks have risen today. I am becoming a cynicist.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

  • Himself: Working hard. Tried for an early morning Dr. appointment for his torn knee.

  • Herself: It’s time to make those yearly appointments too.

  • Captain Poolie: Boy she had visitors by the roomful yesterday.

  • Reading: D.E. Stevenson.

  • Gratitude’s: I was even grateful for owning a washer dryer this morning then I turned on the TV. Right now I am grateful to be alive. Daughter Margot posted wonderful Sister pictures on facebook today too.
