For new readers... in Hello.

Sonja, 41, mother of three. Rob is 18, Bel is 11 and Eleanor is 7. I live in Cumbria, England. Just outside the Lake District. I was born and raised here, moved away when I was 23, stayed away for 15 miserable years. My heart is and always will be here.

My OH is called John, he's 39. We've been together 20 years this June. I love him lots.

I have a job as a paid assistant in t a charity shop. I love it, but I really want to be a field teacher/guided walk leader/ranger. I love the outdoors. My only problem is I don't drive, hence I can't get to the remote places to do this. This year I'm going to learn.

John works as a chef in a Chinese takeaway. Rob is at college and the girls are still at school. Obviously.

I have a cockatiel called Syd, the girls have two fish called Pilpoi and Treasure.

I am ahem slightly eccentric. Dark and deadpan sense of humour. I like wearing odd clothes, dying my hair strange colours and embarrassing the people I am with. I am a hippy to the core. Me and Bel. I like going to festivals.... Dressing up for no reason.... Dressing up for a reason.... The great outdoors (these are my kids).... Being goofy with my family (this is my daddy.) And just generally acting the goat. (Me with my mam and my sister, Shellie.)

I like most genres of music, my favourite bands include Rammstein, Pixies, The Cure, Babes in Toyland, Dinosaur Jnr, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Breeders, Fleet Foxes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sex Pistols, System of a Down, Buzzcocks...among others.

My favourite colours are green, red and black.

My favourite food is Chinese.

I love all things Steampunk, goth, slightly odd and macabre.

I am a HUGE fan of Tank Girl.

I like Studio Ghibli, science fiction and horror movies.

My hobbies include knitting, spinning wool and playing the penny whistle.
