Just sayin'. in A small but passable life.

I did write an entry every day for nearly a week. I found that it really emphasized how utterly boring . . . no wait, not boring. I’m never bored. Let’s say uneventful and unworthy of being chronicled. Yeah, that’ll do.

Sunday before last I’d seen a desert fox on my walk back from the pool and shower. It was sitting like a dog does, between a couple of units. I stopped about twenty feet away from it. For several minutes we just silently communed. Then the large upright ears swiveled for bit and then it just walked slowly away showing off a magnificently long and bushy tail.

The eclipse here was a non-event.

I finished reading Thomas Picketty’s “Capital in the 21st Century”. Nearly six weeks to read it but I had read two novels midway through reading it. Just for a mental break.

The book reiterated the fact that most people have no concept of wealth. Just like “deep time” and exponential growth it is mostly misunderstood.

If you are not a member of the 0.001% with an annual INCOME of at least $20,000,000 along with the other 1361 households with an average annual INCOME of $161,000,000 each you really don’t comprehend real wealth. And that is INCOME, not CAPITAL. As for CAPITAL- the four wealthiest individuals on this planet own as much as the poorest 3,500,000,000 people.

99.999% of the people on the planet make less than $500,000 a year.

Anyway, I finished the series Sense8. Now I’m casting about for a new series to watch.

And it’s been four months now since I’ve worn socks or shoes.

Just sayin’.
