The Captain at the opening of the Steampunk show at the Auto Museum.

Yesterday afternoon, we stayed at Scripps Mercy Hospital with Pam, Captain Poolies friend, and Poolie until they wheeled her away for an MRI. The doctor told Pam that she wouldn’t have lived if she had stayed at the nursing home. Pam overrode everyone yesterday and called 911. Bravo Pam.

After we went to bed to a restless sleep Pam texted that they discovered a brain tumor. It’s in the back of her head next to her spine. It’s restricting her spinal fluid, and they are installing a port this morning as I write this.

Poolie has maintained her sense of humor through out. Feeling better this morning she texted, “Emergency brain surgery his morning. Please no faxe or calls.”

1105: They found more tumor. No chemo or radiation recommended. Hospice and keep her comfortable.
