A First World wonder! in A small but passable life.

I was up a little after 8am this morning as usual. Mom was already gone, out to breakfast with a friend. As soon as I’d poured my first cup of coffee the phone rang. It was the Lowe’s delivery guys. They were ahead of schedule and wanted to come early. I said “Sure”.

By 10am I was sitting in my chair with my book.

And then Mom got home and wanted to go run some errands. So we left. Library to return the Grisham novel, the post office to mail a package, Walmart to buy an ice maker, the bank to deposit a check, and then back home.

By 1pm I was sitting in my chair with my book.

Rummikub tonight was good. Even though I lost.

Tomorrow I’ve been promised to not be bothered. We’ll see.

Walmart had a 700 watt, .6 cubic foot microwave for $30. How is that possible? I also seen a 5000 Btu window air conditioner for $99. Crazy!

And a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for $14.99.

I’m glad I don’t need any of it.

The ice maker is pretty cool. An $89 machine that does nothing but make ice. A First World wonder!
