Brain explosion in Deplorable thoughts

I cannot find words. I’m totally scrambled.
Beyond belief.
He’s dropped any pretense.
He’s openly supporting white supremacists. “there were good people in that crowd…”
Really?
You can put on symbols of the KKK, the neo-nazi’s, any number of other hideous associations brought together by their shared hatred of anyone not them and their love of violence in the cause of curtailing other’s rights -
You can organize and weaponize, put on body armour, pick up bats and cement-filled water bottles -
You can follow such people as the Grand Dragon of North Carolina’s KKK who says that he is “glad” that a fine young patriot, a follower of his cause, ran down and killed a woman -
You can do any and all of this
And your president can still say that some of you are good people?

No.
Very simply no.

You cannot be a good person
if you belong to or support in any way such organizations.
You are existing on a less evolved moral plain.
If embracing evil does not make you evil, I do not know what does.

David Duke is declaring his praise of the president on social media
and Trump has no problem with it.
An elected president of the United States in the twenty-first century
is supporting and condoning the movement
that has committed more organized crime and perpetrated more systematic terrorism
on American soil than any other
for more than a century.

Where can I put this in my head?
I was afraid before this
of what I did not know,
of what I dreaded might be true.
Now I am,
to borrow a word from the man who knows the best words,
I am unutterably sad.
