It was a 2nd Interview! in Public

Remember in my last entry I thought it was really strange, and was wondering why the principal was calling me in to interview for the same position? It turns out, it was a second interview and she just didn’t tell me that over the phone. The superintendent of the school district and the principal of the school were there. The principal mainly sat there and the superintendent asked me questions. I was there for about an hour.

It’s still strange, maybe she didn’t want to say it was with the superintendent because usually when you meet them, it means you basically have the job.

Anyways, I kept thinking she was going to offer me the job at the end. She kept saying things like you won’t find that here, and in your classroom and referring to it like I already had the job. At the end, the principal said, they are getting down to the wire, time wise, and will let me know either way by the end of the week.

Now I am driving myself crazy wondering if they were going to offer me the job, but then I said something she didn’t like. I thought it went really well, and I honestly think I’d be happy teaching there.

Maybe the superintendent asked the principal to pick two people and she is meeting with both and will have the final say.

I’m about to write them both a thank you email. I told Hubby I was going to and he said I shouldn’t. I thought a thank you email was common practice. Am I wrong?

I guess there is nothing to do now but wait.
