Well, here I go! Hi there All! How are you Dear friends?I was at Polz place this morning to check on little Willow and Polz joined me up so thought I'd write an entry.I'll keep it short and sweet because I still have to make sure I say good bye to Open Diary.I saw when I was there how many of my friends had also come over here.I guess I feel the same as you:have got used to being able to communicate all my thoughts and deeds, good and/or bad!!Ha ha!I And get wonderful feedback from you all.I have had a busy week and a bit and am doing another speech on Monday night at Toastmasters, which I must get to work on tomorrow at the latest.I have been procrastinating over this as I just couldn't get my head around a demonstration speech!Ugh! Eventually inspiration arrived!Eureka! Why bother with props or a model for the demonstration when I could use myself?Yes!Me , mois etc.And the subject:Breathing!I bet that sounds lightweight to you,(excuse the pun!)However, if you can control your breathing, you can calm yourself down etc.I was a competitive swimmer and I also had 3 years of singing training and both of those require breath control and have served me well over the years. So,because I know what I am talking about,I really only need to demonstrate the noble art, under headings. Hmmm--mm! So I shall devote tomorrow morning and afternoon to sorting that out. Livvie started High School yesterday.Samantha,Janets daughter and Chloe ,Penny's eldest already go:Sammy is in year 13 and Chloe Year 9 and Livvie is now Year 7.So she has a cousin and her sister there with her.Livvie is one of those people who gets a bit anxious about new things and it affects her stomach. And here ,on Waiheke Island,,they have a Maori welcoming ceremony called a 'powhiri'.(pron.pofiri)It is very involved and all the school attend and there are VERY long speeches(in Maori) and songs and dances. The first part of the ceremony is outside in the footpath! It takes about an hour altogether..Penny ,Janet,Paige and I attended. Well, poor Livvie had a nervous tummy to begin with and we had been outside for about 10 mins and she had to step aside with her Mum as she felt sick.enny managed to calm down and we proceeded inside the school hall with about 300 others.Parents on one side, new pupils on another and the rest of the school.about 500 kids on another. We were about halfway through incomprehensible Maori speeches,(which is NOT fair) when Penny sudeenly saw Livvie dash out of the hall,,Penny was off,not before a teacher and the school nurse and stood back as they tended poor darling Livvie, throwing up into a large bush!Oh dear! The school is great at looking after their children and Penny just waited and let the teacher and nurse look after her. What a sensible Mum my Penny is!Livvie cameback in afer about15 mins, sitting by the nurse,in time for the last of the ceremony. Then she went to the school counsellor and had a drink and we hugged her and the last we saw of her she was walking to her class with the nurse. She was fine for the rest of the day..And went off to school quite happily this morning.Poor darling!I said to her that at least she didn't throw up in the Hall. Now THAT would have been mortifying in the extreme! Willow has been depriving my dearest friend of her sleep! Polz is just too soft with all her animals ,(a very worthy trait!) however,7 week old kitties need direction, and wetting her Mum's bed and peeing on her photos is a bit much!So I suggested the bathroom at night with dirtbox and her basket and a bit of food and so she is going to try that! Also Koha needs to be able to sleep on her Mum's bed as well! She always had!Poor Polz! Hope all is well tonight for everybody involved! Well,I will finish this now and dash onto Open Diary and get back to Prosebox tomorrow to read you entries!! Be kind to each other and best love to you all, God Blessxxxxx Majimazexx
