- Public
- A day when I have a new novel to read and it rains outside all day
- The huge shadows that butterflies of normal size throw on the patio cement
- Reaching a Mac technical assistant and understanding everything that is asked of me
- A baby’s palm on my cheek
- A good clam chowder for dinner
- The discovery of “short days”…ones when I go to bed after one a.m. and awake about 11
- Drinking ordinary good enough red wine in a one of a kind and irreplaceable crystal glass
- The homey sound of rain dropping from a roof without gutters for hours
- Seeing a man kiss an owl he rescued.
- Violin donation with letters about the history of the violin: both given to students to use while taking music classes.

Baby palms are great till you get thwacked in the glasses. Then you're trying to explain a black eye from when you got punched by a baby.

Plus the world looks cock-eyed and totally disturbed when wearing those glasses until a visit to the lens store to get the glasses realigned. Terrible strength in those sweet little grips babies can have.
