Small town life in Talk Story

Living in a small coastal town is such a joy for me... as an example... today I went for sushi at Café Kitanishi... I walk in... sit at my favorite table... and start reading my book... ten minutes later... an order of sushi is brought to my table... without my having said one word to the wait staff... Now... truth be told... I often order the same thing... but I have told the owner that at any time... they are welcome to give me whatever they think I might like... and so far I have not been disappointed... Next is a hunter-gathering mission at the local Fred Meyers... as I go up and down the aisles (I am an impulse shopper) friends (and strangers) stop and talk story with me... and when I reach the check out... well that is a whole different adventure (if there is not a line that is)... I really enjoy meeting people and seeing friends on my trips into town... it seems that all it takes is a bit of eye contact... and a smile for people to be friendly... This is my third entry here at Prosebox... nice to see old friends from O.D. stop by and leave notes for me... Aloha oe...
