First: The good news. I’ve boiled my billable hour workload to 8.7 Hours. The joy of researching Felony Cases, I suppose. So… in the next 14 hours, I need to accrue 8.7 billable hours. As I typically do a 2:1 ratio… this could be an interesting stretch. Because technically 8.7 hours would only be guaranteed by 18 hours of work days left. As it is; I need to make sure to capitalize on the hours available to me.

Second: The stupid statement. I wish I could write a book. I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. It is a time consuming endeavor. It is an endeavor which requires a good deal of imagination (mine seems broken these days); a remarkably interesting life (mine is mostly “Sickly White Suburban Kid”); and a wellspring of talent (I stumble quite a bit when it comes to gripping narrative).
So… maybe some day. Maybe I’ll hire a ghostwriter and together the two of us can come up with something that works.
