Interesting thing to learn:
Defense work is primarily a waiting game. Wait… then act.
IF NO Clients:
Wait for someone to break the law.
Wait to get appointed or hired.
Wait for the County to file Official Charging Documents.
THEN Act.
IF PAST THAT:
Wait for Discovery to come in.
Wait for dates to be set.
Wait for Experts and Witnesses.
Lots of waiting and then acting in response.

The waiting would drive me crazy. What you need is a way to drum up business :-)

Fingers crossed for this weekend! I'm giving a 20 minute speech to Chinese Students, Business Owners, and Investors on Saturday about Criminal Law. It is sponsored by our firm, so... hoping that gets me something.
