NOTE TO SELF in Book Four: Ichi-no-Tani 2017

My less honorable qualities have me ignoring my own schedule, advice, and well being far too often because I would much rather be helping someone else, doing for someone else, or just focusing on someone else.
But that kind of thing mixed with my current work-life can quickly spiral into me simply… not doing for myself. Not even remembering to do for myself. So… I figured I would put my “AFTER WORK DO THIS. SERIOUSLY. DON’T IGNORE ME” up here. Perhaps notes throughout the day will remind me, “Oh yeah. I need to do that when I get home.”
Unfortunately, the majority of this list is the list I was going to do yesterday but I did not return home from work last night until 8:30. Seriously. So… 12 hours of work plus 2 hours of driving (it was an Ames Day)… I didn’t have much time or energy to do my list. Which was made even worse because my body hurt too much to get any sleep. I was up tossing, turning, trying to stretch out my legs or crack my back until 4 a.m.
When work is over, follow this course. Do not deviate.
(1) Grab some bananas at Hy Vee and pop in for a small (very small) amount of Whiskey. After all, it is Friday, dammit.
(2) Change into exercise gear and treadmill until “Hell and Back” is over. Lets see if we can’t trim you down a bit.
(3) Relax in that special way that needs to be finished before 8:15 p.m.
(4) Soak… seriously, your body is way too tense to expect sleep if you haven’t soaked.
(5) Shower… be clean!
(6) Make Dinner of some kind
(7) PS4.... either keep hacking away at Injustice 2 Ladders or try Overwatch again. Oh Overwatch. A game I enjoy but suck at. A lot! Though… technically… any On-Line Game is a suck fest for me. I’d much rather mow down NPC bots than fight other humans.
