Last night, I dreamt again. And I’m starting to sense a pattern.
I was in a distant city in Iowa. It was flooding. And a very bad man that I was already after had gotten a job as a Police Officer. He was cruel and tortured and beat people. I followed him and recorded his actions and yet still people didn’t believe me. I had to flee the city in a Speed Boat chase with Bad Cop chasing after me wielding a chainsaw. Then I found myself in a location I’d visited before in a dream. A large condominium complex where the units were separated by hobby. So you’d have the Gamers Condo Wing, the Jock Condo Wing, all that. I was seeking help from the Gamers Condo Wing when a giant party broke out and I ended up helping protect/energize the Star Wars Costume Party. After that, I followed the Cute Geek Girl Darth Vader back to her school; where I was able to convince the Head Mistress that I was an exchange student. I produced some of the books I’d used in school and the Head Mistress took pity on me. Apparently, the books I had been learning from were before the Age of Information, so that my books didn’t even have historically accurate depictions of American History let alone other cultures. I felt bad but flirted with my study buddies. It was time for school to let out and I found myself going to my Pappy and Gamma’s house (the one they lived in until Gamma died). They were gone for a few weeks, so I was living in their 100% furnished basement and looking after the place. I had anime on the television and I was stocking the fridge with loads of drinks and alcohol. It was late… around 4 a.m. And I got this strange sense of foreboding. Like something terrible was coming. Then Wife showed up and the dream ended.
With that being said… I am really tired. I could have slept until 10 today but that would not have gone over well with the bosses. As it is, I just have to hope that they were okay with me being in at 8:15. That’s just it, though. I’m not really as tired as I seem but my eyes sure as hell are. I could probably be fine to do whatever, but my eyes are sore and tired and angry. Not saying it IS the glaucoma but not saying it isn’t.
Well… my schedule looks to want to be a busy day. My body and mind want me to sleep. Wife has a day off today so she wants me home at a reasonable hour. One man cannot do all that he is required to do.
