I am so happy to report that my husband is feeling much better. He’s still not 100%…still weak and tires easily…but he has admitted that he might actually feel better than he has for some time…(ya’ think?). He sees his Primary Care Physician tomorrow and will hopefully be cleared for driving, etc. When he got his tubes out Wednesday the surgeons said they were done with him and hoped he never comes back! (Us, too.)
Life is slowly getting back to normal around here. I think he plans to go to WalMart today and do a little shopping. I am hoping he will soon feel well enough to resume our routine grocery shopping…I really, really hate doing it.
Just to keep us in line, Karma has handed down an edict: I pulled a muscle in my lower back Thursday. The pain isn’t as bad as it was, but I’m so stiff it’s hard to move without making it hurt. Taking ibuprophin. Usually just take Tylenol, but that isn’t cutting it. I’m moving really slowly and carefully. This, too, shall pass.
Our daughter-in-law’s sister and husband from North Dakota were in town a few days the past week. They came over to see us yesterday morning and brought strudl from the Farmers Market. (Yum) Was so good to see them. They headed back north after the visit.
Our son Mike is busy playing shows in Brew Pubs around the area. We haven’t been to one for several weeks of course. He and Nick played in Parker Friday night and Baily last night. This coming Friday they are going to come to our senior club (Fabulous Fifties) and entertain us old folks… and the play a private house concert our in the upscale Arrowhead part of town on Saturday and a gig at the Left Hand Brewery in Longmont on Sunday. He is getting ready to go to Nashville in August for a retreat with song writers and publishers. Also spending as much time as possible in the studio in Lakewood. Oh, and then there is his day job… and still finds time for his family…and taking care of his parents (us). He’s a good boy…
