Dole Pacific leaving port.

I stood to make dinner, and looked out the doors. The sun was shining gloriously, the trees sparkled, and it was altogether beautiful outside. “Why are we eating inside, behind walls, when the perfect day is right out there,” I thought.. Dinner was packable, so I asked the great G if he would like a picnic. Yes, he said.

Ham and cheese quiche from the neighborhood deli, and a tossed green salad that I added fruits and nuts to all packed in the big red picnic bag. At five we were out the door.

“We should have taken a picture of this,” I said to G as we both shoveled it in. Nothing dainty about us this day.

But along with real silverware, I brought the camera. We caught images of all the passing boats and ships and air planes. Not only was it a glorious, sunny day, it was and entertaining day.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

  • Himself: At work at 6 again.

  • Herself: Most of the books had been shelved. It did me no good to rant about it. Replaced the thread I was using for my costume, and replaced the bodice piece I ruined. Poolie full of steroids with her hopefully last chemo, and she’s home. Stitches out this morning on that cyst. Not quite closed, and it was not reassuring to be told to come in if it gets infected.

  • Reading: A book about Appalachian Doctors. Watching WWII.

  • Gratitude’s: That right now I am ok.
