2 Phone Interviews in Public

I got an email on Saturday morning from a principal of a middle school in the district where I completed my student teaching. She wanted to phone interview me today. I email back and confirmed. I had that at 1:30 today, she said she was interviewing people via phone all afternoon and would call me back tonight and let me know if I was invited for an in person interview to be help on Thursday. It’s 4:30 and I have not heard anything. No rejection email either though.

Then yesterday I was driving with my daughter (that’s a whole other story, she is going to be living with us for a little while, then is moving to Las Vegas in mid July) and someone called me from an elementary school and said the principal wants to phone interview me Wednesday at 9:30.

Geesh, Hubby has been back twice since I started writing this. And while I’m not really hiding it, I’d really rather he not know I write because I don’t want to have to censor my thoughts and feelings. He is supposed to be going to follow up with two houses, then is coming back to get me and we are going to find new sales. It sucks that it is almost five and he has really been dealing with stuff from last week almost all day today, and he had a meeting today, so he is just now going to get to go out and try to get new sales for the day. He is also really talking about me not working and just helping him organize and enter all his stuff into the computer. While I would love to not work, and would love if he made enough for me to do that, I just don’t feel comfortable making a decision knowing how the last 18 months together have been. So I’m going to keep applying and interviewing.

Anyways, I accepted that phone interview and have that tomorrow. This is at a school I did an in person interview for last year in July. I’m wondering if the principal remembers me, or if I new last name is making her think we haven’t met. My old last name is right on my application though.

I really need to finish/start cleaning. Our landlord is coming Thursday to inspect the house. They are supposed to come once a year and we have been here 16 months and this is the first one. I think it’s because Hubby called her complaining and trying to get them to sign up with his company. I told him not to, we pay low rent for the area, and I don’t want it raised. I agree the house has issues, but it is big for a two bedroom and low rent and a decent area.
