Phone Interview and Hubby in Public

I just checked my email and I got invited to a phone interview on Tuesday. It’s for middle school science. I have to email her a copy of my science endorsement. I think I can find it online. So we will see how that goes.

Hubby made his point goal for the week. We went out this morning and he finished. I had a semi attitude because while I was proud he got his points, we were not out very long, and he gets paid per sale, so if he sold more (above the minimum goal the company sets) he gets bonuses and moves up the ranks faster. I’m hoping when he actually sees the big commission checks (assuming what they promised him is actually true) that he is more motivated do do more. Right after we got home though his manager called and asked if he wanted to go out and sell with him. His manager also gets commission on what everyone he manages sells, so the better his team does, the more money he gets. So Hubby just left to go sell with him, they will probably only stay out an hour, maybe two.

Maybe I was too hard on him, I mean it is his second full week and he already made the goal. But I also know that they were told that the goal is the bare minimum expectation. I guess I was a little upset because I know that he’s been out on the streets about 5-6 hours this week. A two hour meeting at the office, an hour phone meeting, and two two hour adjuster meeting this week. Add in another 3 hours for phone calls for the week (if probably wasn’t even this much). His total for the week is 16 hours. Plus what he is doing now, so maybe 18 hours of actually work for the week. But if I asked him, I know he would say he worked over 40.

I just feel like the amount of money they say he will make it too good to be true for the little amount of work.

When I was teaching I was there for 8-9 or more sometimes hours a day, then I came home and worked for another hour or two some nights, then I always worked a few hours over the weekend too. Maybe I’m just in the wrong profession.
