“He is undoubtedly an idiot, but do not underestimate how good he is at that.” -Naomi Klein
The sad thing is that I don’t have to say who that quote references.
It’s been nearly a month since I’ve scribbled an entry here. I’ve read three novels and an anthology of short sci-fi stories:
“It Can’t Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis
“Crossers” by Philip Caputo
“State of Fear” by Michael Crichton
“The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction, Vol. 2” edited by George Mann
Now I’m reading an anthology of horror stories.
I guess one thing that discourages me from writing here more often is that the cursor still does that hop skip and jump bullshit. And then I just say fuck it and close Word. And yes, it does the same thing wherever I try to type. And no, there is no solution on google. I’ve looked.
I met Mom’s cardiologist. He’s a young guy with a good handshake. Mom doesn’t need a pacemaker, yet, but she’ll be wearing the monitor until its lifespan ends.
There were three record high temperatures broken this past week. The highest one topped out at 119 degrees. The only tolerable aspect is the humidity at 4%.
Night before last the overnight LOW was 93 degrees.
I’d like to write more often but with absolutely nothing happening and the aggravation of the spastic cursor, I’m not really motivated. I do read every entry of my ‘friends’ though. It’s nice to be reminded that there is still life going on out there.
And I’ve pulled out another tooth. Haven’t had to do that for about five years now. And that one five years ago was a bitch and got infected before I was able to finally pull it. This last one was pretty easy with just one day of pain before the nerve died.
Gross shit, I know.
Anyway, I’m out. Maybe I’ll be in the mood to scribble again soon with the fucking laptop, eh? the mood to argur . Er, in
SEE?
