Living here on the southern coast of Oregon is wonderful... though not the same as when I lived on the island of Maui... my home is about a quarter mile from the water... an easy walk to the beach... There is a light rain today... the temperature is in the mid 50s... a far cry from what people are experiencing in the south east part of this country... I walk along the water... watching and listening to the waves break on the rocks and on the shore... not many people here today... but those that are... are quick to say "hi"... There are whales visible about a half mile out... mostly I just see a blow from them... and occasionally part of their backs... and of course the ever present seals and sea lions frolic just off the beach... Seagulls dart to and fro... perhaps searching for something to eat... Life here is different from Maui... sort of like Prosebox is different from Open Diary... but I feel that I'm going to fit in just fine at this site...! (smiles)
